Abha Surgy Centre is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Receptionist cum Billing Executive to join our team. This vital role combines front desk reception duties with billing and financial tasks, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will manage patient interactions, process billing information accurately, and provide essential support to various hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Management:
Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported. Manage the front desk area, keeping it clean, organized, and efficient. Direct patients and visitors to the appropriate departments or personnel as needed.
Phone Call Handling:
Answer incoming internal calls promptly and courteously. Respond to inquiries, providing accurate information about hospital services and processes. Provide information to the appropriate staff members or departments to ensure smooth communication.
Registration, Billing and Payment Collection:
Register new patients, manage and update patient records. Handle the preparation and processing of invoices, ensuring all billing information is accurate and complete. Collect payments from patients and manage various payment methods (e.g., cash, card, online). Maintain a professional and positive demeanour while discussing billing matters with patients.
Communication and Patient Interaction:
Communicate with patients, clients, and staff in a positive, clear, and confident manner. Provide accurate information about hospital services, billing procedures, and payment options. Address patient questions and concerns related to their bills or hospital services.
Billing Information Management:
Provide internal departments and patients with necessary billing details. Ensure that billing information is shared accurately and promptly with relevant parties. Assist patients with understanding their billing statements and payment options.
Administrative Support:
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records. Assist with generating financial reports and maintaining up-to-date billing records. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with hospital policies.
Assisting Doctors with Tasks:
Assist doctors with various tasks as assigned, ensuring the smooth execution of the daily operations in the clinic.
Qualifications:
- Graduation or equivalent (additional certification in healthcare administration, billing, or a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare billing practices, and insurance processing is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with patients, visitors, and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and healthcare management software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, shifts based on the clinic’s operational needs.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
